Content Marketing FAQs
Do you work with websites built strictly in Wordpress?
Yes, we specialize in Wordpress websites. If your website is built on an other platform like Magento, Wix or Shopify, the only way to work with us would be for us to rebuild your website in Wordpress i.e. move your existing content and, in many cases, add some new one for SEO, to a website built by us. Don’t worry, this is painless process for your clients as your website would be built at our back-end on a different sub-domain and deployed smoothly once completed at your front-end so in most cases there is almost no downtime for your site.
Do I have final approval of website-related tech work and creative and blog post content?
Yes, at every stage of the work process you have the final approval. All we ask is for you to reply to our approval requests within 3 weeks in order for us to stay within our effective established system (we’ll send weekly reminders, of course). For most clients, this is more than enough time.
If we don't hear back from you within 3 weeks, we automatically approve the content as we assume you are happy with it… So we continue to work on your other assets.
Please note: If you wish for us to make changes after that, it'll be at a rate of $150 per hour.
What if I'm not happy with my written, visual design or video content?
We'll rewrite the content until you are happy and satisfied, as long as your suggestions don’t compromise the SEO optimization of the article. Similarly, we’ll redo the visual content and designs until you are happy with them.
How much time should I expect to spend on approving your content and designs?
We ask for your approval for the first one or two rounds. This is to ensure that both parties are organically on the same page. We then get your feedback and add it to your checklist.
If we are nailing your content and you are comfortable with our work, we'll then ask you for auto-approval. It will save you and us a fair amount of time.
However, we also understand human psychology and that some clients prefer to be asked for approval every month. So in this case, depending on the plan you are on, it can take you about 60 minutes per month to approve the submitted materials.
Is your marketing content SEO friendly?
Absolutely. Our agency built its expertise around SEO optimized content and technical SEO. So you can sleep peacefully at night knowing that every article that gets published on your website has been written with pre-selected keyword strategy in mind.
Can I provide you with specific keywords to rank for?
That depends on what your proposed keywords are. Generally, any highly competitive terms that are made up of 2 or 3 words may not be as realistic to rank for on the first page, with a brand new site. Some famous brands pay hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars to secure their 1st positions!
We will discuss the keyword strategy with you and assess what is realistic and what could be a more feasible and cost-effective alternative that fits your selected package with us. At times, you might be surprised at the types of unique and clever “workarounds” we find in order to target your optimal client, even without the use of the most obvious short-tail keywords.
Is your marketing content plagiarism free?
Yes, as a standard practice, every piece of content is run through CopyScape. We will gladly send you a screen shot as evidence if needed, since they are stored in your “file” with us and are readily accessible.
Why do you favour Wordpress websites over Shopify for e-commerce businesses?
We treat the web space as valuable real estate. Our goal is to help our customers build a legacy on the web vs just a temporary solution. When you build your website in hosted platforms such as the popular Shopify, you actually do not own your website as “real estate” and you are often controlled more than you think.
Meaning that as it stands right now in 2021, you will not be able to take your entire site with all its content, away from Shopify and move to another service provider. So in case you happen to not pay for your monthly Shopify fee because those fees do add up, or you dislike the politics or else around the company itself, you will be at a risk of losing your entire website. You become completely dependent on that one service provider. Lately, too, many Shopify business owners have been reporting instances of Shopify deactivating their shop payments, especially for drop shipping types of businesses. By contrast, creating your online store with WooCommerce in Wordpress, if one payment gateway like Paypal freezes your account for whatever reason, you will still have other ways to get your e-store to accept payments by going to another provider.
With a proper backup copy in Wordpress, you will always be able to move your entire existing website to another hosting provider of your choice. So you have more freedom of movement, as well as significantly lower fees.
Also, additional Shopify Apps (if you want your site to be able to perform more complex actions) and per transaction fees add up to often hundreds of dollars that Wordpress websites may not have. Of course, there are pros and cons to everything, including the Wordpress platform with its steeper development learning curve and the need to keep up with the plugin updates and overall security of the site, but the bottom line is that we choose Wordpress because we are able to not only treat your website as a piece of real estate, but also lower your operational costs.
Which Wordpress builders and Wordpress themes do you use for creating SEO-friendly Wordpress websites?
We specialize in the following 4 types of Wordpress site builders, in order to provide you with the best quality:
Oxygen
WPBakery
Elementor
Beaver
And our 2 go-to Wordpress themes when needed are Astra and Publisher. Oxygen Builder works differently and
essentially ignores the theme altogether so for Oxygen built sites we install Astra even though even any automatically pre-installed Wordpress theme from the Wordpress directory would work , too. While Oxygen typically requires a steeper learning curve if you were to do it yourself as it requires some PHP/CSS coding, at the end of the day it is one of the most lightweight and easiest for page speed optimization as it helps to avoid unnecessary bulk.
NOTE: If you wish to work with us and your Wordpress website is currently using a different website builder, we would need to convert your website onto one of the above mentioned Wordpress builders as agreed upon by both parties.
Do you work with premium Wordpress themes/templates sold on Themeforest or elsewhere?
Typically not, except for the Publisher theme and a few hand-picked ones by us. Numerous premium design templates sold on Themeforest or elsewhere use builders created by their own developers. This can be very risky long-term as many developers simply stop supporting their product or even removing it altogether, often making it incompatible with the latest Wordpress or plugin versions. In this case we would recommend moving your website’s existing content onto a new site built by us typically using Oxygen or, depending on the circumstance, one of the other builders listed above.
For instance, if you run an e-magazine, we might recommend switching to a Publisher theme that has both magazine-appropriate features and some page speed optimization pre-built by the developers. We would still need to make modifications and further optimizations and design improvements as needed, but we don’t always need to build every website completely from scratch as in the case of going with the Oxygen builder.
However, if you have a specific Wordpress template design that you really like, you may let us know and we will do our best to incorporate the design you are inspired by, for your website. It may not look 1:1 identical but some elements can be made to look very similar. Please discuss this with us and to check whether your chosen design would even make sense for SEO.
Why are you selective about the types of businesses and niches you work with?
In order to do serve your business project effectively and maintain the high level of quality, we have to be selective. When working with us, you will quickly see why your business, too, would benefit from being selective. We will show you, using mathematically derived data, what types of target markets could provide you with the "path of the least resistance". And this info will be specific to your business based on your business' registration data and the owner's birthday details. And your competitor, too, would technically have their own set of data with their own "path of the least resistance". What we do at Webadventa is tap into that data to reduce the instances of you getting into the more challenging markets for your unique situation and identify what has a higher probability of success.
We use the same formulas that get you that data as we use for ourselves. This means that for us, too, only specific types of markets make the most sense for us to work with while ignoring others. Even if they seem like a "cool new trend to jump onto". We are legacy builders, after all.
